Bulkley Valley Health Care and Hospital Foundation has raised enough money for cardiac stress testing equipment.
Foundation Chair Ted Bob says they met their goal of $80,000 almost by their deadline of December 1 st.
He says this was partly because one resident matched each donation dollar for dollar.
“We are very fortunate in that we had a patron sponsor, Tom Britton, a local entrepreneur who has done well over the years, we were in contact with him and in memory of his twin brother, Jim, he looked at this project and thought this was a great idea,” he says.
Bob says this specialized test is a prerequisite for some surgeries and currently unavailable in the valley. He hopes to have the new equipment installed early next year.
