Bovill Square will be rocking with a collection of youth bands next month.
Organizer, Zack Windle says a group of Smithers youth approached the mayor and council about hosting a youth concert.
He says the evening will feature The Racket, Cabin Fever and Split Seconds as well as a host of other local acts playing everything from blues and folk to rock and punk.
“We really want everybody to come out. We are kind of looking for a youthful audience as well as we really just want as many people there as possible just to have a really fun night with it.”
The event happens May 31st at Bovill Square and council has agreed to shut down that block of Main Street for the concert which will run from 6pm until midnight.
