Northern Health has once again given out their imagine grants to different organizations in the Bulkley Valley.
Health Services Administrator Cormac Hikisch says 8 local projects and programs have been given a total of $20,000.
“This year, because of the Canada Winter Games coming to northern B.C. in Prince George, the focus was on applications that were going to improve physical activity and decrease secondary behavior. So a bit more of a focus on getting people out and about in a healthy way,” he says.
Some of the winners are Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club for their biathlon mat replacement project, the Bulkley Valley Learning Centre’s Strategies for Stress project and Dze L’ Kant Friendship Centre Society’s Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Community Kitchen..
