The Smithers RCMP have been busy dealing with drunks this week.
Over the weekend, police were called out a report of an intoxicated male staggering on the sidewalk on Broadway Avenue. Officers located the man and arrested him for public intoxication. While they were there, they discovered another intoxicated man yelling nearby and arrested him as well. Both man were held in a cell until they sobered up.
Then on Tuesday, a man was intoxicated in a restaurant causing a disturbance. Police found him after he left and was urinating in public. He was also taken into custody until he sobered up.
