The Houston Hikers Society has been given a grant from Northern Health to move forward with their Morice-Klinger project.
Director Jonathan Van Barneveld says this trail has been on their radar for some time.
“The grand plan for the whole area is to link up By-Mac Park and Klinger Lake,” he says. “But the little piece we are focusing on now is just a couple of looping hiking trails that will provide quite a few kilometers of opportunities.”
Van Barneveld says this will be a four season, multi-use trail and will also give access to the river for fishing.
He hopes it will be ready to use by mid-summer 2015.
