Todd Doherty has been named the Conservative Party’s candidate for the Cariboo-Prince George riding.
Last night the votes were tallied and Doherty received the most votes from the local riding association members.
Runners up were Former Prince George Mayor Shari Green and P-G Businessman Nick Fedorkiw.
Doherty received many notable endorsements, one from outgoing MP Dick Harris and another from ousted candidate TJ Grewal.
The former Canada Winter Games Finance Director will run in the upcoming federal election, which has been set for October 19th, 2015.
