A Smithers man is facing a break and enter charge.
Over the last month, police have responded to a rash of break and enter complaints in the community.
In a press release from the RCMP, it says after many hours of diligent work and perseverance, a team of dedicated officers were able to identify a suspect.
27 year old Shane Vangrootheest has now been charged with 1 count each of Break and Enter and Theft under $5000.
He was arrested and remanded into police custody and set to appear in provincial court today.
RCMP are continuing to investigate all recent reported break-ins to see if others are associated to this suspect.
