A stranded woman on the Bulkley River in Telkwa made it to shore safe and sound after being rescued by a jet boat.
Fire Chief Laurence Turney says a member of the public made the rescue near the bridge in town Wednesday afternoon.
Turney says the woman fell out of a canoe and swam to a rock in the middle of the river where she became stranded.
The RCMP and BC Ambulance were also on scene.
