Water sampling has begun in Smithers to see if there’s still coliforms or bacteria in the system.
Northern Health needs two consecutive and clean samples taken 24 hours apart to lift the boil water notice.
High levels of chlorine were pumped through the system last week to try and kill any bacteria.
The notice has been in effect since Sept 1st.
