The Houston Fire Department has received a Community GamingĀ Grant.
Chief Jim Daigneault says they will use the $40,000 to purchase personal protective equipment and training.
“It helps, it makes a big difference to the department to be able to buy new equipment because this stuff expires and we need to keep the department current,” he says.
DaigneaultĀ says some of the equipment they are replacing is over 10 years old.
