Despite the late start to snow this winter, the Omineca Ski Club says their trails are in excellent shape.
Trails and Facility Director Wes Bender says the volunteers were out early in the season to pack snow to set the base for the year.
“Trails are great right now, we got a lot of snow in the last week,” he says. “Grooming has been going around the clock, so all of our trails are open. We have over 25 km of trails and 2.5 km of groomed lit trails and we have a new snow shoe trail this year.”
Bender says their membership numbers are also doing well so far this year.
