Northwest residents are being warned to brace for the first winter storm of 2015.
Environment Canada’s warning preparedness meteorologist Lisa Coldwells says the precipitation will start falling on Sunday.
“This is caused by a fresh surge of Arctic air coming down from the north so temperatures are going to get colder once again,” she says. “On top of that, a moisture laden Pacific storm is going to move in and bring snow.”
Coldwells says the Bulkley Valley can expect around 10 cm.
However, she says those travelling to or from Terrace on Sunday should check for special weather statements as the snow is expected to be messier in that area.
