Lake Babine Nation receives provincial money for cultural tourism

The Lake Babine Nation has some money from the province to help with cultural tourism and their business readiness project.

The province says the over 78 thousand dollars will help support tourism training, cultural engagement and workforce development.

The funding is a part of the over 10 million being awarded to 90 First Nations and non-profits through the BC Rural Dividend program.

The Wet’suwet’en First Nation west of Burns Lake is also receiving 100k.

That will help with plans for a band-owned card-lock gas station.
