Liberal Leader Candidate Dianne Watts made a stop in Smithers on Monday.
Watts says she’s been hearing from residents across the north and agrees that the Liberal party needs to make sure people benefit from a strong economy.
“The reasons that you are fiscally responsible is so you can have the ability to connect with people’s lives and be able to invest money in education, invest money in seniors housing,’ says Watts.
She blames the NDP for shutting down major infrastructure projects that have already been approved.
Watts has been a Conservative MP along with being the Mayor of Surrey.
