Mounties are asking for help in finding a man on a count of fraud at a local retailer.
On October 16th, Smithers RCMP say the suspect used a fake credit card at a jewellery store along with an ID that matched the name on the card.
The alias being used is Christopher Nelson; he is being described as:
- 6’4”
- Maple leaf tattoo on left wrist
Anyone with information is asked to call the local detachment at (250) 847-3233, or Crime-Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
Police are reminding businesses to be extra careful when completing a customer transaction, and to not continue if someone’s information seems out of order.
