Town council approved a bylaw to establish an increase in fees and charges for the town’s solid waste collection services.
Effective January 1, 2018, a 2% increase will be applied to all solid waste user fees and other flat fees for both residential and commercial collection activities.
Bylaw No. 1816 – Solida Waste Collection User Fees 2018, 2019, and 2020 replaces Bylaw No. 1760 – Solid Waste Collection User Fees 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Property owners will still be responsible for maintaining residential and recycling garbage carts in a usable manner.
