Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club working on some upgrades

The Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club near Houston has received some money from the Northern Development Initiative Trust.
Club president Greg Yeomans says they will use the $30,000 to do some some upgrades.
“It’s going to go towards fixing up our cabin, insulating, heating, replacing the windows,” he says. “We have an alpine cabin as well, it is a real gem but it needs some work including stairs, railings and new windows.”
The money will also be used to fix up some trails, including filling in ruts and addressing some drainage issues. The entire project will cost around $90,000.
He says some of the work has started already and other work will begin in the spring when the snow has melted.
