A water issue in Telkwa has been fixed.
Public works foreman Jim Harding says there was a pump failure to the chlorine analyzer.
“The analyzer wasn’t getting water steady enough, it was just running part time,” he says. “When the operator when in on the weekend to check it, the pump was running and everything was functioning normally. Then, when he would leave the pump would quit so the data system would call him and he’d go and check it again.”
Harding says the pump has now been replaced.
He adds the water was always within Northern Health’s safe drinking water regulations during the failures.
