The Alzheimer’s walk for memories is taking place this Sunday in Smithers.
Carl Eddy says he’ll be participating for a couple of reasons.
“There is around 70,000 people in the province that are affected by Alzheimer or dementia,” he says. “Most of us have been touched in some way and my company is a corporate sponsor of Alzheimer Canada and Alzheimer Society of B.C.”
The walk starts at 2 p.m. but participants are asked to meet at the Investors Group on Alfred Avenue at 1 p.m. to register.
The walk will take place down Main Street. The money raised will support research to find a cure.
