A road advisory warning has been put out for the Smithers area.
Billabong Road and Bridge Maintenance is warning drivers that several side roads maybe are in poor condition due to rain overnight and continuing rains today causing icy road conditions.
They are asking everyone on the roads to use extreme caution when they must drive.
Billabong adds they are aware of the rural road conditions and say current attempts to improve traction on the side roads may have a limited impact until the rains stop.
The rain is expected to continue to fall through out the evening and into tomorrow.
