Seabridge invests in NWCC trades program

Seabridge Gold has made another significant donation to Northwest Community College.
Vice President of Environmental Affairs Brent Murphy says they have presented a $100,000 cheque to the school for the third time.
He says this money will support the college’s intro to trades program.
“We’ve been extremely impressed with the program,” he says. “We are willing to invest now even before we are an operating mine in the local workforce because we believe that for these projects to be successful, we need people that live in the communities to be working at these sites.”
Seabridge’s KSM project is located northwest of Stewart and is expected to create 6500 jobs during construction and during its mine life.
Last summer the project received its Environmental Assessment Certificate from the provincial government and  final federal approval was granted in December.
