Idea for hatchery in Houston

Fisheries and Oceans Canada along with Upper Bulkley River Stream keepers group are hoping to build a small scale Coho hatchery in Houston.
The two organizations made a presentation to Houston council last night  to discuss the idea and possible locations.
Community Adviser Brenda Donas says there are a couple of purposes for the pilot facility.

Donas says if all goes according to plan, they could start creating the hatchery in the spring. Houston council will mull over the idea in the coming weeks.
