Burns Lake candidate misses deadline to file campaign expenditures

Elections BC has released how much municipal candidates spent last year on their campaigns.
However, one Burns Lake mayoral candidate missed the deadline to file earlier this month.
Deanna Brown Nolan says she has been too busy with work to file her campaign financing paper work.
She will be hit with a $500 fine.
Nolan did say in a email to Moose FM that this doesn’t make her regret running, adding that the experience was a very good look into the real dynamics of the Burns Lake community as an aboriginal woman.
She plans on filing before the end of the week.
