The MLA for Stikine is trying to help the children of a murdered woman get placed in the care of relatives.
Ten months after Angila Wilson died, her three kids are still in foster care, despite their aunt and uncle asking to take them in.
Doug Donaldson, who is also the New Democrat spokesperson for children and family development, says this is distressing.
“Delays can cause harm so I really think it comes down to the potential harm these children have been caused not only suffering from the horrific situation of having their mother murdered but the delay in finding a permanent home,” he says.
Donaldson is calling on the province to step in and place the children in the care the family members.
