Hereditary Chief questioning leaked RCMP report on violent protests

A leaked RCMP report saying northern B.C. is vulnerable to violent pipeline protests has one Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chief shaking his head.
Chief Namoks says he is not advocating anything illegal to stop the flow of gas through his territory, nor has he heard anyone else promote criminal activities.
“I would never encourage violence of any form,” he says. “What we can do is protect our environment, the water, land, coast, all people who are on it, by any means necessary, and that generally means court cases, and also talking to the investors, why should they let their money just rot there.”
Namoks is wondering what the political motivation behind the report is and who instructed it to be done. He is also questioning why this report wasn’t made public in the first place.
