The Small Business BC Awards have been handed out and while one Smithers store was in the top five for a prize, it didn’t win.
Heartstrings Employee Danielle Ray says the whole process and the awards evening in Vancouver was inspiring.
“Just an amazing experience and it was so inspiring and so interesting,” she says. “There were so many young entrepreneurs there, the average age was between 20 and 40. Some of the cool ideas that people are coming up with are amazing.”
The home decor store was up for an online marketing award but was beat out by a Vancouver children’s clothing business.
