An air quality advisory is back in place for Smithers, Telkwa, Houston and Burns Lake.
Air Quality Meteorologist Barry Watson says there are very high concentrations of course particulate matters due to road dust and fine particulates that are expected to persist under current weather conditions.
He suggests avoiding roads with heavy vehicle traffic and areas with wood smoke.
Also, persons with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise until the advisory is lifted
Watson also wants to remind residents that under the Clean Air Bylaw, the use of wood-burning appliances, except for sole wood burning heat users is prohibited, when an advisory is in effect.
