Spring may be here in North-West BC

We are going out on a limb here, however, it seems as though the wintery weather is behind us.

Environment Canada Meteorologists say we here in the area currently have a bit of a low-pressure system making its way off the coast into our region.

Ahead of that low-pressure system is a lot of precipitation so we should see rain in the coming days.

By tomorrow afternoon, precipitation should die down as there is only a 30% chance of rain by the afternoon.

Cloudy periods and cooler temperatures will control most of the weekend heading into Sunday, but by early next week, the sunshine should return.

Currently, there is a cooler air mass making its way through the Yukon and North West Territories, but that should stay north and keep the snow away. At worst, the cold air mass will make its way into Alberta and will bother our neighbors to the east.

Environment Canada says we are a couple degrees shy of normal temperatures for this time of year but by late next week, we should see weather we are accustomed to for this time of year.
