UPDATE: Dust Advisory over for Burns Lake, continues in Houston

The special air quality warning out for Burns Lake has ended, however, it remains in effect for Houston.

The release was put into effect when the Ministry of Environment recorded high levels of dust contamination in the air.

The provincial air quality objective aims for 50 Micrograms Per Cubic Meter (MPCM) over 24 hours.

Houston is still over double the regulatory limit at 104.2 MPCM.

Children, the elderly, and those with chronic health issues are asked to stay indoors until dust levels subside.
