So far, low flood risk for the spring

The snow pack for the Skeena-Nass Basin are near normal, according to the BC River Forecast Centre’s latest survey.
Spokesperson Dave Campbell says most areas in the Bulkley Valley are seeing levels that are actually slightly below average.
“But within that, there are a few pockets of higher snow packs, particularly in the headwaters of the Bulkley, upstream near Houston. Things are little bit higher there.”
Campbell says the flood risk this spring looks to be is minimal unless extreme weather like a hot spell or a lot of rain take place in the next month or so.
