Highlights of the agenda include:
- Smithers application for a $13,000 transit marketing grant from Northern Development Initiatives Trust,
- The awarding of the Main Street Watermain Replacement Contract to MTR Utility Maintenance for $88,867,
- A detailed plan for the “Downtown Landscape Revitalization,” following the “Tradition with a twist” design concept presented by Lanarc,
- First, second and third readings of the Smithers Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw and 2018 Property Tax Rates Bylaw,
- First, second and third readings of a new Off-site Works and Services Reserve Bylaw.
