The fourth annual Smithers Daffodil Dash took place yesterday afternoon in Heritage Park.
The event goal was to fundraise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Members of the public were encouraged to take part in whatever activities they could.
There were such things as a BBQ, silent auction, a necklace raffle, and the chance to register for the dash itself.
The dash was a 5-kilometer track which ran throughout different destinations in Smithers.
Contestants were asked to participate in interactive challenges along the way, making for a fun day in the sun.
This years event was said to raise over $30,000 bringing their four year donating total to over $100,000.
