Yesterday, McHappy Day swept the nation.
The fast-food location in Smithers was able to raise $3,068.52 which will directly support the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver.
One dollar from every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and McCafe Hot Beverage sold supported Ronald McDonald Charities across Canada.
This is one of 15 Ronald McDonald houses in Canada and it is said they aid over 26,000 families a year.
Since the introduction of McHappy Day in 1977, fundraising efforts have exceeded $66 million dollars.
