Fourth annual Extreme Everest Challenge climbs to new heights

This year’s Extreme Everest Challenge has raised more money  over last year.
One of the organizers, Dave Walter says since 2011, the year they started, it has been getting bigger and better.
He says this past weekend saw about 120 people take part in the 24 hour event that challenges skiers to complete 18 runs on the sky line chair — the cumulative vertical of approximately 8850 vertical meters or the height of Mount Everest.
“It has been growing every year,” he says. “This year we had about an additional 40-50 registrations from last year.”
All of the money raised goes to Live it, Love it Foundation that helps provide outdoor recreation opportunities for the disabled.
