Festival of Voices is back in the Bulkley Valley

The Sing Smithers Festival of Voices is back for its sixth go around here in the valley. Things get underway today at the Glenwood Hall and will run until Sunday.

Event representative Sheila Peters says there will be local and provincial vocal experts on hand to help move singers to that next level.

“It’s a wonderful initiative that brings in many fantastic talents from across the province. It’s a great way to expand your skills or maybe try something new.”

Sing Smithers will welcome vocal experts:

  • Karla Mundy
  • Jennifer Scott
  • Patti Powell
  • Samantha Taylor
  • Colin Maskell
  • and Jake Jenne.

The event will have:

  • Vocal training and workshops,
  • Mass choir instruction,
  • Live karaoke,
  • and of course, food.

“Events like these are an amazing way for people to get out and interact with one another. Music is a universal language that we all share and I hope residents take part in this.”
