A special weather statement has been issued for the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District.

Environment Canada issued the warning saying temperatures reaching 20 degrees combined with significant snow melt has resulted in increased water levels in the Central Interior.

Starting tomorrow(Wednesday), a Pacific system is advancing and is expected to bring five to 10 mm of rainfall to the area.

Amounts will be heaviest from Quesnel to Fort St James where 10 to 20 mm are possible.

You are being reminded that riverbanks may be unsafe and to not approach washouts near rivers and creeks.
