There is a new golf pro and manager at the Smithers Golf and Country Club.
Dave Belling has moved to the Bulkley Valley recently, bringing with him a lot of experience in the business.
“I came from Mesa, Arizona and before that I was just outside of Brandon, Manitoba in a place called Oak Island Golf Resort,” he says. “I have 35 plus years of experience in the golf business, from playing on tour to club professional to director of golf and now general manager.”
Belling has big plans in the long term and is hoping to turn the club into a year round facility.
A meet and greet will take place this Saturday afternoon at the course.
