Two grants will help build a new feature for the Burns Lake Mountain Bike Association.
The local rotary club and the Bulkley Valley Credit Union have each donated five thousand dollars for a wall ride.
Club spokesperson Guy Epkens-Shaffer says this will be a unique aspect to their trails.
“A wooden structure that looks like a burm but it is made out of wood,” he says. “It’ll be 10 feet high and it will be the coolest feature anywhere along Highway 16 to end a trail.”
He adds this will be done in memory of young local biker, Pierce Hofer that was killed in a car accident almost two years ago.
The association hopes to start building it in the spring and have it ready to use this summer.
