The Smithers Action group will be releasing its homeless count report tomorrow.
Project coordinator, Nicole Oud says the point was to figure out the number of individuals living in Smithers that do not have access to permanent housing.
“SAGA has done this count to meet requirements of various funding agencies,” she says. “We are working towards our goal of bringing a supportive living housing project here in Smithers.”
Oud says the report can also be used by different groups in the community to help inform policy development and program changes.
The report will be presented tomorrow at the Old Church at 3 pm and 7 p.m.
