Cullen helping Hazelton get a new arena after old one is condemned

The MP for Skeena Bulkley Valley is helping to get a new arena for Hazelton after the old was condemned last week.
Nathan Cullen says he’s been working with community groups and local mayors to get a proposal for finances to the federal government.
“They’ve raised millions of dollars already,” he says. “We are looking to get enough money to put them over the top. The community needs this, it is one of the few recreation sites in the Hazelton area and it is really important.”
The idea to bring a new arena to the area has been in the works for some time now and around four million dollars has already been raised.
A structural engineer closed the Ken Trombley Memorial Arena and ended many sports programs early with fears the roof would collapse.
