A Quick resident has made the national swim team for the Parapan Am Games.
Jonathan Dieleman says the qualifiers in Toronto last week was a whirlwind.
“I got internationally classified on Wednesday, we did some swimming on Thursday, our heats and finals started on Friday,” he says. “I swim 50 m backstroke and I got some of the fastest times I’ve done in that yet.”
Dieleman will be competing in the 50 metre breast stroke and 150 metre individual medley.
The games will be held in Toronto in August.
