Two local entrepreneurs have returned from the ThriveNorth Business Challenge in Prince Rupert with heavier pockets.
Ria Smith of Hazelton has won the top prize of $10,000 to help start up her new catering business.
Eleanor Stewart, a jewelry designer from Smithers, came in second and won $2,500 for her new line she’d like to start.
The challenge gave young people from the northwest an opportunity to develop a business plan and pitch it to a panel of judges.
