One man has been released on a promise to appear in court after being arrested for graffiti in Smithers.
On Thursday night a man was seen spray painting on a building on 11th Avenue and police came to the scene.
The man fled police once he saw the officers and a foot chase took place.
The 26 year old Smithers man was eventually arrested charged with Mischief Under $5,000 and two breaches of conditions.
He is set to appear in court on June 24th.
