Trade Expo a success

The Northwest Trade Expo filled the Smithers Civic Arena on the weekend.

Smithers Chamber manager, Heather Gallagher says the trade show was another success.

“It went great. We heard lots of positive comments about it. There was lots of energy, lots of new things and a big crowd. I think we had at least 400 more people through the gate this year then last year.”

She says the number of booths inside was about the same as in year’s past but there were many more outdoor exhibitors this year.

“Outside was much more vibrant.”

Gallagher says the trade show is all about exposure for local businesses and encouraging valley residents from outside town to consider shopping in Smithers.
