Today is Camp Day at Tim Hortons.
Here’s Smithers Tim Horton’s manager, Tim Close,
“It’s about raising money to send underprivileged kids to camp. They do it every year. They raised about $13 million last year and we hope to do the same if not more this year.”
Close says he hopes the Smithers Tim Hortons can raise $4,000 today.
All the money from coffee sales goes to sending disadvantaged kids to camp.
Close says customers can also make donations in store or round up the change on their purchases, or if you can’t make it to the store you can text “CAMP” to 45678.
The Smithers Tim hortons will also be hosting kids activities throughout the day.
