Real estate remains fairly consistent in Smithers, but down in Burns Lake

Single family home sales are down by one for the first quarter in Smithers, compared to the same time last year.
However, BC Northern Real Estate Board Director DJ Mio says the average price for a property has gone up by about $41,000.
“I think everyone likes it when their house increases in value a bit,” he says.
However, it is a different story in the Lakes District, in Burns Lake, less properties changed hands and for less money in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the first quarter of 2014.
