The Town of Smithers will be presenting it’s budget tonight. The information session starts 5:30 pm at town hall.
The regular meeting of council starts after that. It kicks off with a delegation from Northwest Community College. School representatives give an update on the program planning and community feedback.
Also on the agenda, staff will recommend renewing a lease with the central park society and awarding the traffic marking contract to a Terrace company.
Councillors will discuss carriage houses tonight and how big they can be after complaints have come in from one neighbourhood about their heights.
The packed agenda also includes possible changes to cemetery fees, upgrades to the Bovill Square seating and information on the bike to work week.
