The Lakes District Fall Fair has been given some grant money from the Nechako Kitimaat Development Fund Society for some upgrades.
Fair President Richard Cannon says they’ll put the $26,000 towards renovating the parking lot and washrooms on the Eagle Creek Fair Grounds.
“It’s long over due,” he says. “The fair is growing each year and everything is at max capacity. So if you are going to grow, you have to improve and that includes parking, washrooms and everything else that goes along with that.”
 NKDF’s grant will cover about a third of the costs and Cannon says they’ve received funding for the rest from other sources.
He adds the work should be done in time for this year’s fair in September.
