Authors shortlisted for a BC Book Prize stopping in Smithers

The Smithers Public Library will be hosting a book reading tomorrow.
Library director Wendy Wright says two authors that have been shortlisted for a BC Book Prize will be in town.
“We have one adult author, this time it is poet named Kayla Czaga,” she says. “She will be reading from her collection called ‘For Your Safety Please Hold On.’ It is shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize which is perfect timing because April is Poetry Month.”
Gabrielle Prendergast will also read from ‘Capricious’ which is shortlisted for the Sheila A. Egoff Children’s Literature Prize.
The event runs from 7-8:30 pm at the library.
