Drivers in Northern BC may soon see a significant hike in their auto insurance.
A proposed 6.3 per cent increase has received interim approval by BC Utilities Commission.
BC officials believe this will provide better coverage for drivers, but Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson says the public insurer needs a complete overhaul.
The changes are expected to go into effect in April.
